Tournament Information

December 11th 2021

Hamilton Mill Country Club will be hosting the SANTA CLAUS OPEN this year and it will be your opportunity to support the TOYS for TOTS campaign.

 

WHEN:

  • December 11th

  • 9:00 AM Shotgun start

 

FORMAT:

  • 4-person scramble

  • Each team will be comprised of an A, B, C & D player

  • A current and active GHIN handicap is required to participate

  • Course handicaps will be based on the tee played from

  • Team Handicap will be calculated as follows

    • A players will receive 25% of their course handicap.

    • B players will receive 20% of their course handicap.

    • C players will receive 15% of their course handicap.

    • D players will receive 10% of their course handicap.

  • Teams will be selected by TEAM CAPTAINS on “DRAFT NIGHT”

  • Gentlemen will play from the Tournament tees.  For those over the age of 65, you may play from the White tees

  • Ladies will play from the Green tees

 

REGISTRATION:

  • Will be done through the MGA website under PAR POINT/EVENT SIGN UP

  • Players should sign up as individuals only.

  • Registration will open Monday, November 1st and will close at 5 PM on Sunday, December 5th

  • On your registration you must provide the tees that you will be playing from.  The default tees will be the Tournament tees if no tee is selected.

  • In the Comments Section please put YES of NO if you plan on attending “DRAFT NIGHT”

  • The field must be evenly divisible by 4, so don’t wait until the last minute to register

 

DRAFT NIGHT:

  • The field will be evenly divided based on INDEX into A players, B players, C players and D players.

  • The Tournament Committee will select Team Captains from the field of registrants and they will be notified by email the evening of December 5th, after registration closes, of their selection.

  • On Tuesday, December 7th, the Team Captains will meet at 6:30 in The Grand Hall to draw their teams.  All tournament participants are encouraged to join in the festivities.

 

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE:

  • Total registration fee is $45

  • $20 will be charged to your HMCC account

  • $25 can be charged to your HMCC account or be offset by bringing a new toy with a retail value of $25 or greater.

  • Cancellations after the close of registration or no shows will be billed $45 to their HMCC account.

  • Golf and cart fees are not included in the entry fee and may vary based on individual memberships.

 

PAYOUT

  • Payout will be in HMCC Golf Shop Credit

  • Tournament winners will be determined by team net score

  • A scorecard playoff will determine the overall winner in the event of a tie.  The playoff will start on #7, then #10, #6, #18.

  • The amount and number of places paid will be based on the number of participants
