MGA OPENING DAY

AN IRISH FOUR BALL with a TEXAS TWIST

THE GAME

Each player shall tee off and the "Best Drive" of the foursome is selected. Each player will play their own ball from that spot until holed out.
Team score will be the lowest two(2) scores on the par 5's; the lowest three(3) scores on the par 4's; and all four(4) scores on the par 3's.
Each team will consist of an A, B, C and D handicap player. You must have an established (GHIN) handicap to participate. Teams will be made by the tournament committee.
USGA rules will govern all play.
Winter rules will apply for all shots played from your own fairway.
Play from the Tournament Tees.
Participants over the age of 65 may play from the White tees.
PLEASE INDICATE WHICH TEES YOU WILL BE PLAYING FROM WHEN YOU REGISTER.
Course handicaps will be reduced by 20% because of the selection of the "Best Drive" of the foursome.
Score cards require two signatures.
All ties will be settled by matching scores starting at the 18th hole and going backwards.
All putts must be holed out.

THE PRIZES

There will be a payout for both Gross and Net scores. Each team can win only one prize.
Number of places paid and the amount will be determined by the number of participants.
CTP's on all Par 3's.
All prizes will be paid in HMCC Pro Shop credit.
Each participant will receive a special Opening Day tee gift.

ENTRY FEE and REGISTRATION

$40 per person.
Golf fees are separate and not included in tournament entry fee
Registration will be done through the MGA website. Total field must be evenly divisible by 4. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO SIGN UP. FIELD IS LIMITED TO 100 PLAYERS.
PLEASE INDICATE WHICH TEES YOU WILL BE PLAYING FROM WHEN YOU REGISTER.
Registration opens Monday February 8th , 2021.
Registration closes 8 PM Sunday March 7, 2021
A $40 fee will be charged to your HMCC account for cancellations after 8 PM Sunday March 7, 2021
